Magic Springs 2009

Magic Springs is the top family destination in Arkansas, with dozens of attractions appealing to every member of your family.  Nestled at the foothills of the scenic Quachita Mountains, the beauty of our Magic Springs park is matched only by the thrill of its adrenaline-jolting signature coasters – X-Coaster and The Gauntlet.  Other high-flying rides include Dr. Deans Rocket Machine – a free-fall not for the faint of heart – and Plummet Summit, the cool-down plunge everyone loves!

The Gauntlet

Can you fly?  On The Gauntlet you can!  Cruising on this steel coaster, unique to the region, you’ll experience the breath-taking sensation of flight through suspended seating – unlike traditional roller coasters.  Reach for the sky and zoom toward the ground at 60 mph on 2200 feet of track with 5 inverted loops!

Minimum height is 52".

Plummet Summit

Load a raft with your best buds and hit the river – that is if you don’t mind a tidal wave!  The best way to a quick cool-down in the Arkansas heat is a 50-foot drop on Plummet Summit.  The chills and spills from this one will hang around long after you’ve taken the plunge.  On your way out, be sure to stop on the bridge for a fresh soaking from the next rafters headed down the river!
Minimum height is 42" to ride alone, 36" and above must be accompanied by an adult.

Big Bad John

Hang on!  You’re on a runaway mine train! Big Bad John is ready to take you on a twisty-turvy journey through the Arkansas wilderness, then bring you home to a screeching tunnel finale. This wood coaster delivers a ride you won’t forget – it’s a family favorite!
Minimum height is 42".

Dr. Dean's Rocket Machine

3-2-1… Blast off!  Dr. Dean is ready to deliver a thrill unlike any you’ve known on his rocket machine.  Shoot toward the sky, then free-fall back to earth screaming with delight.  Dr. Dean’s Rocket Machine is out of this world fun!
Minimum height is 52".

Wild Thang

The most flippin’ fun you’ve had in a long time!  The Wild Thang is exactly that – a wild, dizzying rise and descent, forward and backward, up and down adventure – Grandma might want to sit this one out!  You can look forward to two motor-driven rotations and the third to be gravity driven – it’s an experience unlike any other!
Minimum height is 48".

The Hawk

The Hawk will take you to new heights!  Swoop, soar and dive at heights up to 70 feet.  The thrills keep coming with a boom that rotates 360-degrees both clockwise and counter-clockwise at speeds up to 13 rpm.  It might even pause for a moment just  as…you…turn…upside...down!
Minimum height is 48".

X-Coaster

The most visible coaster for miles around Magic Springs, the X-Coaster has the hearts of thrill-seekers pounding before ever even entering the park!  You’ll shoot 150 feet into the air to be flipped upside down and tossed on a 360-degree corkscrew roll at more than 65 mph!
Minimum height is 52".
X-Coaster is Closed for the 2009 Season. Grand re-opening in 2010.

For safety reasons, guests who are intoxicated or impaired by alcohol or drugs will not be allowed on the rides and attractions at Magic Springs & Crystal Falls. In addition, a shirt, shorts, and shoes must be worn to ride all attractions outside of the water park.

Diamond Mine Coaster

A starter coaster for the future thrill-seeker. The Diamond Mine Coaster is a small, but powerful coaster exciting for kids and fun for adults!
Children between 36" and 42" must be accompanied by an adult.

Rum Runner Pirate Ship

Maneuver the mighty seas - back and forth as the pendulum swings!  Higher and higher the ship sails until your stomach is tingling and your heart twitters…Oh, a pirate’s life for me!
Children between 42" and 48" must be accompanied by an adult.

Old No. 2 Logging Company Log Flume

It’s a family favorite!  Get in your log and take off twisting and turning through the varying water maze leading to a cool-off splash-down at the end of river!

Twist 'n Shout

A zig-zag coaster full of tummy-tickling drops from the top-level quick-paced switchbacks down the track to shifts and slides making its way back to the station!

Carousel

A classic theme park experience you’ll want to re-live with your children!  Go for a spin on our vintage carousel!
Less than 42" must be accompanied by adult.

Around and around, higher and higher!  Your kids will truly believe they’re flying!
